Shiny Entertainment is an independent music company based in Melbourne, Australia.
Founded at the end of a particularly long and winding 2004, Shiny incorporates a record label and third party publicity, promotions and marketing company.
Of course there’s an illustrious past, but that's all ancient history so who cares, right? Right! So read on and find out who we really are.
Shiny "the label" has managed to feed a selfish desire to only work with artists that really, truly make us wanna jump and scream and shout. It’s always, and only ever, been about that.
Our label roster is eclectic: small, but growing. Amongst others, it includes the heavy heavy monster sounds of Dave Grohl’s PROBOT; the four track, one-way-ticket-to-anywhere musings of THE MODEL SCHOOL; the lo-fi-emotional-loud-soft-unisex-rock of BROKEN SOCIAL SCENE; JEN CLOHER's lovelorn, dark, lost and lonely tales; and the Go! Go! Go! of our latest bright young things BIT BY BATS.
Shiny "the publicity" provides the same love-me-tender consideration to publicity, promotion and marketing to a growing number of artists that aren’t signed to Shiny. We can provide assistance to artists and labels in developing a publicity, promotion and marketing plan to suit your projects.
Shiny’s current clients include a shit-hot bunch of today’s top bananas. MIDNIGHT JUGGERNAUTS, CHILDREN COLLIDE, THE PYRAMID ROCK FESTIVAL, SOFT TIGERS, DAMN ARMS, THE VALENTINOS, THE EXPLODERS and BERTIE BLACKMAN.
